In addition, Avila sponsors a spirit squad that includes performance and competitive dance and cheer teams. Intercollegiate opportunities for men’s competition include baseball, basketball, cross country & track, football, and soccer. The Athletic and Recreation Department is responsible for the development and administration of an intercollegiate and recreational sports program that provides quality and competitive opportunities for students in a variety of fields. The individual departments that make up this large division are described briefly below.
